The RSC-1520DV Radar Scan Converter is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) single-slot PCI Radar Scan Converter Module. The unit receives radar video, trigger, and azimuth signals from a radar unit and processes these signals to generate a high-resolution display in real-time. Dedicated digital signal processing circuits provide an extremely high quality output image. All real-time radar processing functions are handled by the RSC-1520DV without loading the host CPU.

An embedded radar/graphics mixer provides high-performance graphics overlay and underlay capability. A PanelLink™ graphics interface enables compatibility with a growing number of low-cost, high performance graphics adapters, allowing users to configure cost-effective, high-performance PC-based radar display systems.

The RSC-1520DV is supplied with a Windows NT or Solaris device driver and a graphical user interface (GUI) control program. The GUI provides all of the commands required to configure the unit for operation and to control radar display functions. Radar interface levels, radar scan conversion features (display, range, origin offset, fade rate, etc.), and display window parameters (size, position, overlay and underlay control) are fully programmable.
