technical description

The RDA-2020 samples the incoming radar video at 80MHz to provide extremely high-resolution radar images. On-board Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuits are implemented with programmable logic to allow algorithms to be tailored to match a wide range of different applications. Radar can be captured in a defined sector(s) or over the entire radar coverage area. Programmable gain, offset, Sensitivity Time Control (STC) processing, digital video thresholding, range decimation, azimuth decimation, and vector time stamping are supported.

  • Digital Plot Extractor: Detects continuous groups of range cells meeting target acquisition criteria and formats plot messages that are sent to the host.
